FREDERICTON (CNB) - Energy Minister Jack Keir today announced the list of members of Efficiency NB's board of directors, naming Kenneth Losier of Moncton as chair of the board and Andrée Savoie of Dieppe as vice-chair.
"I believe that the diverse experience and perspective of each of the members will greatly assist in charting Efficiency NB's strategic direction. Part of building a self-sufficient New Brunswick by 2026 is assuring that all government organizations operate with clear direction and focus," Keir said. "They will provide the advice and support needed to allow Efficiency NB to continue to develop the innovative programs and services it offers to New Brunswick residents, businesses and industry."
Efficiency NB is a Crown corporation, reporting to the Minister of Energy, mandated to promote the efficient use of energy in all sectors in the province, and to develop and deliver programs and services to help energy consumers reduce energy use.
Efficiency NB is pleased to welcome the following professionals to their board, all of whom are ambassadors of energy efficiency in their respective fields:
Kenneth Losier, appointed for a four-year term, is vice-president of real estate holdings at Assumption Life, and brings over 15 years of extensive financial services experience.
Andrée Savoie, director of operations and development manager of Acadian Properties Ltd. and a professional engineer, has been appointed vice-chair for a five-year term. Savoie has built her career in the construction industry and brings leadership to Efficiency NB in sustainable energy efficient construction practices.
Martin Chiasson, vice-president of Xerox Corporations' TeleWeb Operations, brings over 15 years of senior management experience and is a well-respected community leader. Chiasson has been appointed for a five-year term.
Eric Pelletier is the safety manager and reliability superintendent with Fraser Papers. Pelletier is a professional engineer with a broad array of technical and management experience in energy efficiency practices and new technologies in the industrial sector. He has been appointed for a four-year term.
Elaine McKinnon is a certified general accountant and vice-president of professional services and operations with xwave, a division of Bell Aliant. McKinnon brings to Efficiency NB senior financial and technical leadership and has been appointed for a two-year term.
Efficiency NB's President and CEO, Elizabeth Weir, also serves as a member of the board. Weir has built a lengthy career as an advocate for New Brunswick children, seniors and families, and has been at the helm of Efficiency NB since the corporation's inception.
